Empowering Young Entrepreneurs in Indonesia: Topiku’s Continued Partnership with Pratisara Bumi Foundation

Celebrating the spirit of sustainable entrepreneurship in Flores, Indonesia.

At Topiku, our mission goes beyond crafting the world’s most sustainable hats—we’re committed to uplifting communities, fostering entrepreneurship, and creating lasting impact. Since 2022, we’ve proudly partnered with the Pratisara Bumi Foundation to support Indonesia’s next generation of sustainable business leaders.

In 2025, we deepened that commitment once again—empowering 36 young entrepreneurs across Flores through the Scale Green Flores incubation program.

A History of Collaboration

Our journey with Pratisara Bumi Foundation is built on a simple yet powerful idea: sustainable business starts with sustainable community support.

Over the past three years, Topiku’s contributions have included:

  • 2022: Rp 10,000,000 donation to the INKURI incubator program.

  • 2024: 25 hats for the Women’s Earth Alliance (WEA) Grassroots Accelerator Cohort 4.

  • 2025: 24 hats for the latest INKURI incubator participants.

Each project represents more than charity—it’s a long-term investment in the future of ethical, regenerative business.

Our journey with Pratisara Bumi Foundation is rooted in shared values of empowerment and climate action.

About Scale Green Flores

This year, Pratisara Bumi Foundation, together with Kampus Tanpa Dinding, successfully launched Scale Green Flores, an innovative 4-month incubation program designed to uplift young entrepreneurs in Flores Island.

The program unfolded across two transformative phases:

  • Phase 1: Sustainable Business Training — 36 businesses received foundational education on building regenerative enterprises.

  • Phase 2: Market Readiness Assistance — 12 selected businesses moved into intensive mentorship, gaining tools to prepare for scaling and real-world impact.

The experience culminated in Lestari Market Day on March 22, 2025, in Labuan Bajo—a vibrant showcase where entrepreneurs pitched their projects to investors, government leaders, and sustainability champions.

From funding to meaningful product support, Topiku’s contributions helped scale the impact of Pratisara Bumi’s programs.

Spotlight on the Changemakers

Through the Lestari Market Day event, five outstanding businesses were awarded for their innovation and dedication:

  • Delawa Coffee — sustainable coffee sourcing with indigenous practices.

  • Kameku — eco-conscious fashion made with traditional weaves.

  • Ikat Flores Creative — preserving Flores' weaving heritage through entrepreneurship.

  • Aroma Tani Vanili — building vanilla farms that respect natural ecosystems.

  • Bracha Harvest — promoting organic agriculture and regenerative farming.

You can explore their inspiring profiles in the Scale Green Flores Booklet.

Why This Matters to Topiku

Supporting young entrepreneurs isn’t just philanthropy—it’s aligned with Topiku’s DNA. We believe:

  • Ethical production and conscious design must go hand-in-hand with empowering local communities.

  • Climate-positive business models need leaders who are bold, resilient, and connected to their cultural roots.

  • Real impact grows when businesses work hand-in-hand with the communities they serve.

By providing both financial support and sustainable products like our upcycled hats, we aim to bridge the gap between purpose and practicality—because true change happens on the ground, one step at a time.
