Partnerships

As part of our annual commitment to 1% For The Planet (and beyond), we partner and sponsor various projects that help us build a more sustainable Indonesia.

Sungai Watch

Sungai Watch is an environmental organization on a mission to stop plastic from going into the ocean. The organization is now a team of 55 passionate river warriors, working every day to create solutions to stop the flow of plastic pollution.

By designing simple trash barriers and operating a collection, sorting and up-cycling system, we have created a scalable approach to tackling plastic pollution. Today, they have set up over 125 barriers and are on a mission to install 1,000 barriers by 2023.

We’ve outfitted their team of river warriors with activewear hats, built to withstand the rough conditions of waste management.

Bye Bye Plastic Bags

Bye Bye Plastic Bags is an NGO driven by youth to say NO to single-use plastic bags. The campaign was launched in 2013 by founders and sisters, Melati and Isabel Wijsen when they were 10 & 12 years old.

Since then, BBPB in Bali, has grown to include a volunteer team students from local and international schools around the island + changemakers of all ages. They have launched 50+ teams internationally, spoken to over 1 million students worldwide, and donated 10,795 educational booklets to schoolchildren.

We help support the funding of educational courses and the printing of booklets for Indonesian schools, as we believe creating change starts with awareness-building first.

Waste 4 Change

Waste 4 Change is a socially-based environmental enterprise that offers waste management services by shifting the waste management ecosystem to be more responsible, collaborative, and innovative by means of technology.

Their programs help to educate both the public and businesses about proper waste management. Their services include: (1) Consulting: research and study related to solid waste; (2) Campaigning: capacity building, education, and assistance; (3) Collection: daily waste collection with a segregation system and waste journey report; and (4) Creation: waste composting, recycling and EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) program generation.

We help sponsor the cost of BPJS health insurance for 14 of their trash-pickers as well as fund events for waste management education.

Pratisara Bumi Lestari

Pratisara Bumi Lestari is a non-profit organization that builds ecosystems for Indonesian youth and women to develop local solutions for sustainable development.

Our support helps to fund their INKURI Program, a sustainability entrepreneurship incubator that assists youth champions in building their local economies responsibly.
