One Hat, May Use Cases: Merchandise, Events, Teams, and Gifting
A good product should work hard and work everywhere.
At Topiku, we design hats that go beyond being just an accessory. Our sustainable hats are built to move across contexts with ease. One well-made hat can become brand merchandise, team apparel, an event keepsake, or a thoughtful gift. The same base product adapts to different needs, moments, and stories.
Here’s how our custom hats are used across brands, teams, and events.
1. Merchandise: Turning Brand Identity into Something Wearable
Merchandise works best when it doesn’t feel like merchandise. The most effective branded hats are items people actually want to wear long after the moment has passed.
Topiku hats have been used as official merchandise for major global moments, including the G20, where President Joko Widodo and President Joe Biden wore custom G20 hats produced by Topiku. Designed specifically for the occasion, the hats carried national symbolism while remaining wearable well beyond the event itself.
For brands, hats offer a rare balance between visibility and longevity. They are practical, unisex, and seasonless, making them one of the most effective forms of corporate branded merchandise when thoughtfully designed.
2. Team Merchandise: Creating a Sense of Belonging
Team merchandise is about more than logos. It is about culture.
A well-designed hat can help employees feel connected to the company and to one another without feeling like a uniform. We worked with Intrepid Travel to create custom hats for their teams, designed to reflect the brand’s values while remaining comfortable and functional for everyday wear.
Instead of generic employee merchandise, the hats became something staff were proud to wear on trips, in the office, and beyond work hours. Team merchandise works best when it feels inclusive, useful, and intentionally designed.

3. Events: A Keepsake That Lives Beyond the Day
Event merchandise often has a short lifespan, but it doesn’t have to.
For Joyland Festival, Topiku collaborated on a special edition hat created exclusively for the event. Rather than producing disposable event merchandise, the hat was designed as a long-term keepsake that attendees could wear well after the festival ended.
For event organizers, hats are ideal merchandise. They are easy to size, easy to carry, and instantly recognizable in a crowd, while still offering long-term wear beyond the event itself.
4. Gifting: Practical, Personal, and Long Lasting
As gifts, hats strike a rare balance. They are practical without being boring and personal without being overly specific. Whether for clients, partners, or special occasions, a thoughtfully designed hat feels intentional, especially when paired with a clear story about how it is made.
Because Topiku hats are crafted using recycled and upcycled materials, they also carry values alongside function. This makes them meaningful gifts, not just branded objects.
