Choosing the Right Sustainable Hat: Expedited vs Classic vs Blank

When organizations start exploring custom merchandise, hats often rise to the top of the list. They’re practical, universally wearable, and a great canvas for storytelling.

But once you decide on hats, the next question quickly follows: Which ordering option is right for your team?

At Topiku, we’ve developed three different programs, Expedited, Classic, and Blank to meet the needs of different organizations. Some teams are working toward a tight event deadline, others want full creative control over their merchandise, and some simply need high-quality caps without additional branding.

All three programs share the same foundation: responsibly made hats crafted from upcycled and recycled materials, produced with transparency across our supply chain. What changes is how quickly they’re produced and how much customization you’d like to add.

Below is a simple guide to help you choose the option that best fits your project.

Topiku: Expedited Program

1. Expedited Program: Custom Hats When Time Is Tight

Sometimes the timeline is the biggest constraint. Whether you’re preparing for a conference, community event, or product launch, waiting months for merchandise isn’t always an option.

Our Expedited Program was designed for exactly this situation.

With this option, you can add your logo to our Classic Dad Hat, our most popular design since 2015. The process is intentionally streamlined: one embroidery location on the front panel, a curated selection of colors, and a faster production timeline.

Most orders are completed within 2–4 weeks, making this the best option when you need responsibly made hats without a lengthy design process.

It’s a small layer of protection but a daily reminder that their impact matters.

Topiku: Classic Program

2. Classic Program: Fully Custom Hats for Brands and Organizations

If your goal is to create something unique, the Classic Program offers the most creative freedom.

This program allows you to build your hat from the ground up, choosing from multiple styles, fabrics, closures, and decoration methods. From retro trucker hats with breathable mesh panels to structured snapbacks or our signature five-panel camp hat, the possibilities expand well beyond a single design.

You can also add multiple decoration techniques such as embroidery, screen printing, or leather patches, allowing your brand identity to come through more clearly.

Because of the additional customization and craftsmanship involved, production typically takes 6–8 weeks. For brands developing retail merchandise or long-term campaigns, this program provides the flexibility to create something truly distinctive.

Topiku: Blank Program

3. Blank Program: Sustainable Hats Without Customization

Not every project requires custom branding.

Some organizations prefer to decorate hats themselves, while others simply want responsibly made caps that can be worn as they are. Our Blank Program offers exactly that.

This option provides Topiku hats in their original form made from the same upcycled materials and crafted with the same attention to detail, just without added logos or decoration.

For businesses, creators, or merch teams that already have their own printing setup, this can be a simple and cost-effective solution.

Each program exists for a different reason.

If you're preparing for an event and need hats quickly, Expedited keeps things simple and fast. If you're designing branded merchandise with specific creative ideas, Classic offers the most flexibility. And if you simply want responsibly made caps ready for your own customization, Blank is the most straightforward option.

No matter which path you choose, every Topiku hat starts with the same goal: turning overlooked materials into durable products that carry a story worth sharing.
